MANILA, Philippines — The Court of Appeals (CA) has affirmed the conviction of Maute terrorist group matriarch Ominta Romato Maute, alias “Farhana,” along with doctor Russel Langi Salic and two other operatives, for the kidnapping and beheading of sawmill workers in Lanao del Sur in 2016.
