COTABATO CITY — Three municipalities in Maguindanao del Sur have been declared under “Stable Internal Peace and Security” (SIPS) status, or insurgency-free, marking a milestone seen to bolster peace and development in the province. The municipalities of Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Talayan, and Guindulungan were declared insurgency-free during a symbolic signing ceremony on Aug. 3 in Talayan, attended by military, police, local government officials, and peace stakeholders.
