An American boy was bitten up to 100 times when a pack of escaped dogs savaged him at an upscale Bahamas resort, the Daily Mail can reveal.
Nine-year-old Beau Brattain was set upon by six Staffordshire bull terriers when he walked to the beach last Tuesday morning to collect sand.
An onlooker witnessed the mauling and chased the beasts away while the boy staggered back to his vacation apartment at the upscale Bimini Cove Resort & Marina.
His shocked parents, Aliette Trelles, 40, and Michael Brattain, 41, discovered their bubbly son ‘bleeding all over his body’ and raised the alarm.
Beau was treated at a local clinic for life-threatening wounds before the United States Coast Guard airlifted him to Miami to undergo a ten-hour surgery.
He had suffered bites and lacerations to his face, head, thighs, arms, and legs, according to witness accounts shared exclusively with the Daily Mail.
Cops rounded up and destroyed the dogs after they allegedly escaped from an unlocked shed close to the swish resort in South Bimini, a sleepy tropical outpost 50 miles off the Florida coast.
The tiny island is home to a mere 200 people but is a favorite escape for American boaters and anglers.

Local resident Harrington Rolle, 34, appeared in court Friday and pleaded guilty to charges including negligently causing grievous harm and permitting a dangerous dog to be at large.
Nassau’s Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans remanded Rolle in custody to be sentenced later this week, describing images of Beau’s injuries as ‘disturbing.’
Trelles, an interior designer from Miami, told the Daily Mail she was too busy tending to her son to speak with reporters.
But family members described the attack as ‘horrific’ on a GoFundMe page appealing for help meeting the youngster’s medical costs.
The page raised $220,000 in a matter of days – with one donor pledging $10,000.
‘Our hearts are with Aliette and Mikey as they face every parent’s worst nightmare,’ the family wrote.
‘While on a family trip to Bimini, their beloved nine-year-old son, Beau, was the victim of a horrific dog attack that left him with severe, life-threatening injuries.
‘He was airlifted to the United States for emergency medical care, where he now begins what will be a long and difficult road to recovery.’

‘In the days and months ahead, Beau’s family will be focused on one thing: his healing.
‘Alongside the overwhelming emotional toll, they are now facing significant medical expenses, travel costs, and rehabilitation needs related to this tragic incident.’
On the same day as the attack, the US State Department issued a fresh travel advisory urging Americans to ‘exercise increased caution’ in the Bahamas.
The agency warned that ‘violent crime, including armed robberies, burglaries, and sexual assaults, can occur anywhere’ in the chain of islands.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force said in a statement that an investigation into the mauling was ongoing.
‘According to the preliminary report, shortly after 10:26am, a female caller contacted the Alice Town Police Station and reported that a young boy had been attacked by several dogs while on a beach near a business establishment,’ the statement said.
‘Police assistance was requested, and officers responded promptly to the scene, where they met the child and his mother. The child was immediately transported to the Bimini Community Clinic, where he was examined and treated by the local physician.

‘He reportedly sustained multiple bite wounds to his right thigh, right arm, left leg, face, and head. Medical personnel have classified his injuries as serious and potentially life-threatening.'
‘Shortly after 12:00pm, the victim was airlifted to the United States by the United States Coast Guard, accompanied by his father, to receive further medical treatment,' the statement continued.
‘The initial investigation indicates that sometime around 10:00 am, the child left the apartment where he was staying to collect sand from a nearby beach when several dogs reportedly attacked him.
‘During the incident, an unidentified dark-complexioned male intervened and chased the dogs away before leaving the area. The child was then able to return to the apartment and alert his mother.’
