Supreme Court clears way for States to withdraw NEET protest FIRs

The Supreme Court has clarified that State governments, including Delhi, can withdraw eligible FIRs filed against students who participated in the NEET paper leak protests. The court also said its July 28 order does not prevent States from closing such cases, while making it clear that those accused of serious offences will not be covered.
