CALASIAO, Pangasinan — The La Union provincial government has placed its disaster response operations on heightened alert as continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon (habagat) and tropical cyclones Luis and Dolphin continue to affect Northern Luzon. The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) has activated round-the-clock monitoring, while the province’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has been placed under Red Alert Status to ensure immediate response to any weather-related emergencies.
