According to Ukrinform, the Main Directorate of the National Police in Odesa Region stated this on its website.

Preliminary findings indicate that the 38-year-old driver of a Mercedes Vito was driving out of her property when she failed to notice her one-year-old son, who had run into the vehicle's path.

The child died at the scene from his injuries.

Authorities are currently deciding whether to enter the incident into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations (URPI).

As previously reported, 13 people, including children, were injured in a collision involving two cars and a minibus in the Khust district of Zakarpattia region.
