CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro – A female dugong (Dugong dugon), an endangered marine mammal, was found dead in the waters off Barangay Alibog in the Oriental Mindoro town of Magsaysay on August 1. A local fisherman spotted the dead animal. Government teams immediately responded to the scene.
