Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has urged newly appointed advisers in his administration to uphold the oath of office and discharge their responsibilities with integrity, accountability, and dedication, describing public office as a sacred trust.

Speaking on Monday during the swearing-in ceremony of one technical adviser and five special advisers at the Government House, Dutse, the governor said the appointees must allow the oath they took to guide their conduct and decision-making throughout their service to the state.

“I therefore urge you to always remember the oath you have sworn and allow it to guide you in the discharge of your responsibilities. It will serve as a dependable guide throughout your service to the state,” Namadi said.

The governor described the appointments as another important step toward strengthening the machinery of government and advancing his administration’s vision of building a greater Jigawa.

He said the appointments were based on the administration’s policy of bringing competent, experienced, and credible individuals into government to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.

According to him, the profiles of the newly sworn-in officials demonstrated that they possess the knowledge, integrity, and experience required to support the government’s development agenda.

Governor Namadi also commended the unity already demonstrated by the appointees, saying it was a positive sign of their readiness to work together in the interest of the state.

He assured them that they were joining an administration that places a high premium on teamwork and collaboration.

“I want to assure you that you are joining a government that believes strongly in teamwork. I am confident that you will work harmoniously with other members of this administration in advancing the development of our dear state,” he added.

The newly sworn-in officials are Muftahu Sa’adu Kiri, Technical Adviser on Higher Education; Hajiya Salma Wakili, Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship; Adamu Yusuf Garkuwa, Special Adviser on Hajj Affairs; Mubarak Aliyu, Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs; Musbahu Rabi’u Kaugama, Special Adviser on Investment Promotion; and Bala Sule Kila, Special Adviser on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
