Richard Gutierrez joins Barbie Imperial in outreach activity at her former school

Richard Gutierrez joined girlfriend Barbie Imperial in giving back to the actress’ former school in Albay, Bicol, as she marked her 28th birthday.

Imperial shared an Instagram Reel showing highlights from their rainy-day visit, where they distributed school supplies, meals, and other necessities to students. The couple wore matching khaki jackets.

Aside from Gutierrez. Imperial’s best friend, actress Alexa Miro also joined the outreach activity. The trio spent time with the children and teachers during the event.

Explaining why she chose to celebrate her birthday in her hometown, Imperial said returning to Bicol always brings her peace and comfort.

“This year, I chose to celebrate my birthday at home. I always find myself going back to where I came from. Iba talaga ‘yung feeling dito sa Bicol. Mayon has a way of making me feel so calm. Every time I come home, ang saya-saya ng puso ko,” she wrote in the caption of her post.

The actress also expressed gratitude to her grade school teachers, whom she described as her “second parents,” for helping shape the person she is today.

Imperial said giving back to her school had long been one of her goals. “I’ve always wanted to do this, to give back to my school and the teachers who helped raise me. And finally, I was able to make it happen with the help of the people I love,” she expressed.

Gutierrez, meanwhile, also greeted Imperial on Instagram by posting intimate photos of the two of them with the caption, “HBD BB,” followed by a heart emoji.

It marked the first time the actor featured Imperial on his Instagram page since they confirmed their relationship earlier this year. The couple recently worked together in the television series “Blood vs Duty.”

Gutierrez was previously married to actress Sarah Lahbati, with whom he shares two sons. Imperial has since clarified that she was not the reason behind the former couple’s separation and said there was no bad blood between her and Lahbati. /edv
