Filming has begun for the fifth and final series of the acclaimed HBO drama Industry, with stars Myha’la, Marisa Abela, and Kit Harington photographed on set.

The hit show, broadcast on the BBC in the UK, explores the cut-throat world of finance, following young bankers vying for success at the fictional international bank Pierpoint & Co.

Myha’la, Abela, and Harington will reprise their roles as Harper Stern, Yasmin Kara-Hanani, and Lord Henry Muck respectively.

Harington’s appearance in the behind-the-scenes photos comes as he was placed under house arrest at Norton's estate in the series four finale.

Girls actress Zosia Mamet joins the final season as Carmen Dame, a fitness influencer turned wellness tech founder. Mamet is widely recognised for her portrayal of Shoshanna Shapiro in Lena Dunham’s hit comedy.

The series’ Instagram account shared a string of photographs, including one of Myha’la, Abela and Harington, at what appears to be a table read with the caption: “Gotta love this return rate.

“Season 5 of #Industry is officially in production.”

The carousel also featured Miriam Petche, who plays Sweetpea Golightly, as well as a photograph of Myha’la, Abela and Mamet smiling together.

Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, the financial thriller drama series first premiered in 2020 and chronicled the lives of the young graduates in a world consumed by money, power, debauchery and betrayal.

Its latest season also starred Stranger Things actor Charlie Heaton as financial journalist Jim Dycker.

The showrunners announced in February that the upcoming season would be their last, adding that it was a privilege to have joined the “small, esteemed club of dramas” that have run for five seasons on HBO.

The post added: “For some time now we have been thinking about how best to end the show on an unparalleled high. Unlike some of our characters, we know when to leave a party.”
