Cold conditions remain across New Zealand, with snow closing the Remutaka Hill Rd again this morning.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) said the road closed after more snowfall near the summit.

It reopened at 5.30am after being shut off to traffic overnight but closed again soon after.
