Person in custody, cordons in place after serious incident in Auckland's Epsom
A person is in custody after a serious incident in Auckland's Epsom that has resulted in three people taken to hospital.
Emergency services were called to Manukau Road around 7.05 on Wednesday morning.
Five patients were at the scene when Hato Hone St John arrived, a spokesperson confirmed.
Three were taken to hospital, one in critical condition, another with serious injuries and a third in a moderate condition.
Two other people were treated at the scene.
Police have released limited information however, a cordon is in place on Manukau Rd between Ranfurly Rd and Queen Mary Ave.

There will be an increased police presence in the area while enquiries are ongoing.
RNZ also asked Hone Hato St John if anyone has been transported to hospital. The ambulance service is yet to respond
