Coronation Street star issues ‘nervous and anxious’ update after cancer diagnosis

Beverley Callard said that she is “nervous and anxious” as she struggles to sleep amid her cancer battle.

The Coronation Street actor, who revealed she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in February, revealed that she is having issues with her “itchy skin” in an Instagram update on Monday (3 August).

“It’s driving me insane, it's burning, it's itching,” explained Callard, who is best known for her role as Liz McDonald on the ITV soap.

"I want to [scratch] all the time. I'm not, but I want to. I'm still nauseous every now and again but maybe it's not quite as bad now. But it's just so difficult to sleep. I'll get there."
