A young man has pleaded guilty to murdering a teenager and wounding another in a street fight in Ōtara, Auckland last year.
Police were called to Wymondley Rd shortly before midnight on 1 August last year.
There, two men were found with critical injuries and taken to hospital.
One of them was 19-year-old Greig Kelvin Temarama-Abela, who did not survive his injuries.
Tailasa Vakavale Otuha'Apai Pongia, who was also 19 at the time of the attacks, was arrested that weekend.
He was initially charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm over the second victim, before the murder charge was added.
Pongia entered his guilty plea to both charges at the Auckland High Court on Wednesday morning.
He will be sentenced in October.
