Gisborne’s oldest funeral service has been purchased from local owners by a publicly listed Australian company.
Evans Funeral Services and Gisborne Tairāwhiti Cremation Services will join Australian funeral directors Propel Funeral Partners.
The Gisborne business was bought by the Evans family from Tom Haisman in 1947.
