Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday explained why it placed a Post No Debit, PND, on the Osun State bank account with First Bank. The anti-graft agency froze the account because of alleged fraudulent handling of N11 billion ecology funds, intervention funds and Federal Account Allocation Committee, FAAC, EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale said in statement last night.

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, popularly known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil, AGO, also known as diesel, a move the company said is aimed at making petroleum products more affordable for Nigerians. Under the new pricing structure announced on Wednesday, the ex-depot price of petrol has been reduced by N50 per litre, from N1,215 to N1,165, while diesel now sells at N1,570 per litre, down from N1,650, representing a reduction of N80 per litre.

Three children have been found dead at the residence of a female native doctor, popularly known as “Ezenwanyi,” in Umuoduba Village, Ideani, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. A fourth child, who was discovered unconscious alongside the others, was rescued and rushed to a hospital, where the police said the victim remains in critical condition.

The Abia Police Command says it arrested 13 male suspects aged between 20 and 27 over armed robbery, vandalism of government property, and unlawful possession of firearms.
