Loose Women star claims ITV dropped her from show over pro-Palestine views

A Loose Women star said that she is threatening legal action against ITV after she claimed the network dropped her for her pro-Palestine views.

In an Instagram video posted on Thursday (6 August), Nadia Sawalha alleged that she was “bullied out” of the show, which she joined in 1999.

Sawalha, who has not appeared on the daytime chat show since April, told her followers that she had become the “target of an escalating campaign of smears, complaints, and hostile media coverage” calling for her removal since she began to voice her support for Palestine in December 2023.

“I’m hired for being an opinionated woman on a discussion show and I’ve never brought up or spoken about Palestine directly on the show.”

She said that she has hired the European Legal Support Center (ELSC) to assist with her case.

The Independent has contacted ITV for comment.
