Loren Legarda flies to France via HK, seeks medical leave — Erwin Tulfo

MANILA, Philippines —Senator Loren Legarda filed for a leave of absence in the Senate prior to her reported trip to Hong Kong alongside her son, Representative Leandro Leviste, according to Senator Erwin Tulfo.

Tulfo stated that Legarda notified Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian regarding her absence scheduled from August 3 to 5.

“Senator Loren has a leave of absence,” Tulfo said in an ambush interview at the Office of the Ombudsman. “In fairness, she has medical leave.”

Legarda went out of the country on Aug. 2 for Hong Kong with her final destination being France, National Bureau of Investigation chief Melvin Matibag told True FM. /mr
