This weekend, cocktail bar The Quarter will serve up Southeast Asian flavours as Chef Manjunath Mural presents a special menu of bar bites for Chennai diners. Chef Mural has over two decades of experience leading fine-dining kitchens across India and Singapore.

Chef Manjunath Mural brings an exclusive one-night only menu inspired by his journey across Southeast Asia — designed to be shared over cocktails and conversations. “The chef is usually known for his fine-dining tasting menus, but at The Quarter we’re doing something different,” says Nivruti Reddy, director, Amaravathi Restaurants, which launched the bar earlier this year. “Guests can sample 14 small plates and bar bites in a more relaxed setting.”

Inspired by the chef’s travels across Southeast Asia, the menu celebrates the region’s culinary heritage with dishes such as chicken rendang and murtabak chicken, alongside his signature Singaporean-Indian fusion creations. Expect inventive plates like rojak chaat, Tom Yum Pani Puri, and laksa prawns with lemon leaf upma. The meal ends on a sweet note with a coconut trim cake.

Complementing the menu is a line-up of four Asian-inspired cocktails and two mocktails created for the pop-up. Ingredients such as lemongrass, pandan, galangal and tea take centrestage, while a standout is the mango sticky rice cocktail — a playful take on the classic Southeast Asian dessert.

For Chennai diners, the pop-up offers a rare chance to sample Chef Manjunath Mural’s cuisine in a relaxed cocktail-bar setting, paired with Asian-inspired drinks and small plates designed for sharing. The Quarter is collaborating with Soul on a Plate for this pop-up.

@The Quarter, August 9, 7pm onwards. Entry: ₹2,500 (redeemable) per person. For reservations, call 9841310006.
