Last week, the FTC filed a lawsuit against telehealth company Hims & Hers for allegedly disclosing private health information to third parties and engaging in shady subscription practices. Gizmodo filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the FTC for consumer complaints against the company, which help give an idea of just how prevalent these practices are.

Hims & Hers sells both prescription and over-the-counter medications for conditions like hair loss, obesity, erectile dysfunction, as well as mental health issues. The company also connects patients with health professionals who can advise them on the drugs they take. But some customers allege some major issues.

The FTC told Gizmodo it has over 4,800 complaints related to Hims & Hers filed over the past five years, though only 200 redacted complaints were released for review. The most common complaints involve consumers who say they were charged for subscription services they didn’t want and were denied a refund when they asked for one.

Other complaints involve a lack of real medical advice when getting a prescription. And many people complained that they were unable to reach customer support. People who were eventually able to connect with a customer service representative tell of still being unable to cancel unwanted subscriptions, even when drugs hadn’t shipped yet.

One January 2026 complaint from a woman in Maine tells of how she purchased a six-month supply of a weight loss drug and was completely surprised when she was charged for another six months after that.

“I did not use this business anymore and I donât remember ever signing up for another 6 month supply. Especially since I am being prescribed a different weight loss med through my own doctor who is monitoring my health,” the complain explains.

“Now weâre having a difficult financial time because the weather and my husband works in the Atlantic Ocean in the cold and windy days he cannot go out due to it being rough water, so now we donât have the $1500.00 we had saved to pay bills during this time of bad weather. And it has been stressful.”

Many of the complaints are similar. When people get hit with surprise charges, it often leaves them without the money necessary to buy essentials. Another January 2026 complaint from a man in Washington who got a surprise withdrawal for a Hims subscription he didn’t want explains, “I don’t have any extra money and needed that money for my rent.”

One person in Oregon complained that they didn’t know how they were going to buy groceries for the next week. Still another user in New York complained that the surprise subscription charge had caused their checking account to be overdrawn by $235.

One of the more disturbing complaints among the 200 released to Gizmodo involved a patient struggling with mental health issues. A loved one of the patient told of how he was charged without even receiving any psychiatric care.

“His bank account was already negative and they charged him even though he had not spoken to a psychiatric care provider, $165.00,” the complaint reads.

“He struggles with depression and harmful thoughts. This experience caused severe anguish and he was left on the phone trying to call both his bank and the Hims site for hours. And no one picked up. This should be illegal.”

The complaints seem to confirm what the FTC has alleged in its lawsuit about shady subscription practices, though Hims & Hers is far from alone, as many companies in the 2020s rely on people being signed up for subscriptions they don’t want.

Hims & Hers didn’t respond to a request for comment on Thursday about the complaints, but it previously directed Gizmodo to a public statement insisting that the FTC “contorts the law to try to manufacture claims.â Gizmodo will update this article if we hear back from the company about the complaints we received through FOIA.

Gizmodo was unable to independently verify each claim because they were released in a redacted form to protect the privacy of those who submitted complaints. But Gizmodo is publishing some of the unedited complaints below because patterns emerge to collectively tell a story of people with similar problems while dealing with Hims & Hers.

1) “I received virtually no real medical support.”

  • Washington
  • Jan. 2026

I am filing this complaint to request a full refund due to serious problems with both the product and the medical support I received from HERS. I purchased an 8-week supply of compounded semaglutide through HERS for $650. I chose this company because I had previously used compounded semaglutide from another provider and had excellent results. However, the medication supplied by HERS, sourced from Stive Pharmacy, produced no results for me at all. The only effect I experienced was fatigue. I was unable to complete the full course of treatment because the medication was ineffective and because I received no meaningful medical guidance from HERS. Even if I had wanted to continue, I did not have enough needles to complete the full program, which made finishing the treatment impossible.

Despite the program being advertised as clinician-guided care, I received virtually no real medical support. I contacted the HERS care team multiple times to report that the medication was not working and to ask for help. Each time I received only generic, automated responses that did not address my concerns. Most concerning, instead of receiving actual medical guidance, I was sent messages encouraging me to purchase additional products such as HERS meal replacement bars. Rather than helping me with my lack of results, the company attempted to upsell me more items. This felt like a sales tactic instead of legitimate medical care. HERS relies on a restrictive refund policy that makes it very difficult for customers to receive their money back, even when the product is ineffective and the promised support is not provided. This policy, combined with misleading marketing and automated service, appears designed to protect the company rather than the consumer.

Between the ineffective medication, lack of adequate supplies, absence of meaningful support, and unfair refund policy, I did not receive what I paid for. Because of these issues, I am requesting a full refund of $650.00.

2) “They said they couldn’t authorize a refund”

  • Oregon
  • Jan. 2026

On November 25th of 2025 I went through the steps on the his account to see how much a subscription would cost. Finding it to be too expensive, I did not follow through with purchasing. Over a month later on January 3rd of 2026 I received a text message stating that my order was on it’s way and was billed 175 dollars for something I did not authorize. I contacted their customer support line and they said they couldn’t authorize a refund.

3) “At no point during checkout was it clearly disclosed that this charge would enroll me into a recurring subscription.”

  • New Mexico
  • Jan. 2026

I am filing this complaint regarding an unauthorized subscription charge and misleading billing practices by Hims, Inc. On December 6, 2025, I was charged $195.00 for what I reasonably believed was a one-time purchase. At no point during checkout was it clearly disclosed that this charge would enroll me into a recurring subscription. After the charge occurred, I was informed by a Hims-affiliated physician that the charge functioned as part of a subscription model, which directly contradicts my understanding at the time of purchase. Upon discovering this, I canceled the service within two days of being charged, while the product was still in transit and before any service or benefit was rendered. The shipment could have been recalled or refunded, yet Hims refused to do so.

I contacted my bank and disputed the charge; however, the dispute was denied under âmember misunderstanding,â despite this being a case of negative-option billing and unclear subscription disclosure, not user error. I believe Himsâ checkout and billing process fails to clearly disclose subscription enrollment in a manner required for informed consumer consent. I am requesting a full refund of $195.00 and confirmation that my account remains fully canceled with no future charges.I am submitting this complaint in good faith and am seeking a fair resolution.

4) “This is a shady system…”

  • Washington
  • Jan. 2026

I had not used him/hers for over 3 months, they charged me $395.00 dollars because of the auto-order was never cancelled. They took this money unexpectadly in which I don’t have any extra money and needed that money for my rent. This is a shady system, and I called them and they will not refund my money. So I am not only out the money but also have a product I will never use. You can’t tell me I am the only one that this has happened to. So beware of this becuase they might get you to.

5) “They have not responded to date.”

  • Alabama
  • Jan. 2026

On Jan 12, 2026 I was approved for a prescription of tadalafil. I only wanted to get a 30 day supply to see if the meds were right for me. When I received the text saying I was billed for $384.00 for a one year subscription and found out how to change subscription it was too late for me to do anything about it because they shipped so fast. On Jan 17, I emailed Hims support to explain what happened and asked for a refund of $305 (the difference between a 1 year supply and the 30 day supply I believe I requested. $384 – $79 = $305). They have not responded to date.

6) “When I reached out to customer service, they declined my request for a refund…”

  • California
  • Jan. 2026

This business enrolled me in a subscription-based prescription medication without my direct knowledge. This product I purchased initially was advertised with a certain time frame you would take the drug for, e.g., 3 months, 6 months. I was not informed that it was a subscription service. I only found out after I received an email saying my ‘order’ had been shipped from their warehouse without even knowing what I was getting because I did not order anything myself. By this time, my card had already been charged, and I did not even received a warning that my card would be charged. When I reached out to customer service, they declined my request for a refund they saying I agreed to it when I purchased the drug.

7) “HIMS.com does not allow you to see the price…”

  • Texas
  • Jan. 2026

HIMS.com does not allow you to see the price of renewing a subscription until after you click ‘RENEW SUBSCRIPTION.’ They then bill you for medication you did not approve ordering.

8) “After seeing what I was charged, I immediately contacted Hers but they were not willing to give me a refund or credit.”

  • Pennsylvania
  • Jan. 2026

On 09/06/25 I clicked a Hers advertisement link offering weight loss meds for $69/mo. Then, I chatted online with their provider, Dr. [redacted] and she suggested ‘ Kit 5, Metformin & Topiramate since I didn’t want Semaglutide, and I told her I would like to ‘try that for 1-2 months’. She then placed the order & provided dosing, side effect & other information. (Note that the pricing seen in the chat on 9/6/25 was for their Semaglutide – which I did NOT order.) NONE of the chat information included the pricing for Kit 5 Metformin & Topiramate, and I was never redirected to a check out page. I can’t say why that happened, but I think it was because they already had my credit card information from my separate hair medication subscription. After seeing what I was charged, I immediately contacted Hers but they were not willing to give me a refund or credit. I filed a dispute with both my credit card company and the BBB on or about October 2, 2025. Several days later I saw a credit on my credit card account & thought the matter had been resolved, so I dropped the BBB claim. However, on 10/26/25 my credit card company said the charge was valid & reversed the credit. I’ve been going back & forth with Hers since then without any resolution. I initially received an e-mail from Hers about the BBB complaint saying they couldn’t do anything since I filed a separate dispute with my credit card company. Later they said, they couldn’t do anything because it was an issue with my banking institution. They are ignoring the fact that I was never given the pricing, even after I stated I only wanted to try it for 1-2 months. I’m offering to pay $69 for the first month, but I want a refund for the rest – $326.

9) “Went in circles trying to find any way to contact customer support”

  • Florida
  • Jan. 2026

Started a 5 month subscription with hims, cancelled it within 4 hours and was still charged for the full 5 months even though nothing was shippedI went in circles trying to find any way to contact customer support through the website even though they say that’s an option.

10) “I hope they have a plan to buy my groceries for the next two weeks…”

  • Oregon
  • Jan. 2026

I received one 3-month supply of my prescription January 20, 2025. I discontinued that subscription because I couldnât afford it. At the end of December 2025, I added new card info into my Hims account because I was considering MAYBE getting another refill in the future, but I did NOT make a purchase or activate another recurring subscription. Now I got an email and push notification that my order was shipped. What order? I then checked my bank account and found a new charge from Hims for $147. Exactly what I didnât want or ask for. I hope they have a plan to buy my groceries for the next two weeks as well, because thatâs the money they just stole from me. Not sure how their predatory business model is still allowed to exist. Iâm requiring a refund because it wonât matter how good my hair looks if Iâve starved to death.Am I slightly overreacting? Perhaps. Am I upset? Very. Is it warranted? Absolutely. Fix this.

11) “I emailed them to ask about my $174.00 refunded and they are telling me they have no record of me.”

  • Massachusetts
  • Jan. 2026

On Dec 26th I went into the Hims/ Hers site. I wanted to get a hair growth supplement. They charged me $174.00 and said that they would subscribe me a particular medication. I looked it up and it came up that it could cause very high blood pressure. I canceled the same day right away and even got a text with the acknowledgement of the cancelation. I wanted to check with my own doctor. I emailed them to ask about my $174.00 refunded and they are telling me they have no record of me. They then proceed to send me the pills that I had canceled. I sent them all of my information including snap shots of the charge and a picture of the package. I have now emailed them numerous times and now they went silent and refuse to respond. I can forward all if the emails to you. It has become very frustrating.

12) “There is NO WHERE on the site to cancel an order or ask about an order.”

  • Minnesota
  • Jan. 2026

I have thinning hair and went on Hers website to get info on their product. I filled out several pages of Q and A about my hair – plus photos. I was notified the process was Pending on December 18th. Then $175 was withdrawn from my credit/debit card within the hour. I had not decided to get the product. I thought my card security code was not saved to my computer, and would need to be added for a purchase – but I realize Amazon has my security code. The billing went through a third party company for my ‘convenience’ and they were able to access it. There is NO WHERE on the site to cancel an order or ask about an order. No customer service whatsoever. I sent multiple emails and notifications to the web site to cancel. I went to my account and removed my credit card info, which canceled any further orders.I sent back the unopened package REFUSED. I notified them. They said they did not accept cancelations or returns. They provided no info about the product either.

13) “I was only alerted once the charge was made and the package was sent.”

  • Massachusetts
  • Jan. 2026

I was deceptively not made aware that I was under a subscription model and that I would have a refill for a product I used, coming. I was only alerted once the charge was made and the package was sent. Two things should be true: first, customers should be abundantly clear that they are under a subscription. In this case, I was somehow unaware. Second, before a subscription-based charge is incurred, customers should receive a notice that a charge is coming well before the charge is made. Hims does neither of these, and it seems calculatedly so. I consider this deceptive and abusive of customers.

14) “My account this morning was reactivated…”

  • Oklahoma
  • Jan. 2026

I had cancelled my subscription to their service in September via their app. My account this morning was reactivated and I was charged $175.00 to my account for another prescription from them. I am needing my account permanently closed and the money refunded to my account.

15) “Now we donât have the $1500.00 we had saved to pay bills”

  • Maine
  • Jan. 2026

I was taking the weight loss drug through the company Hers. In July 2025 I was prescribed a 6 month supply after I did an intake with the physician they provide. Well in December 23, 2025, Christmas Eve, my husbands bank account was charged $1500.00 for another 6 month prescription which I never authorized or I never was contacted by the doctor or made aware that they were prescribing 6 more months of this medicine. And then taking the money from his account. My husband immediately went to bank to stop payment but due to it being a debit card and this business has the numbers our only option was to shut down that card. All of our online payments and bills go through that card and it wouldâve been very difficult to go through another account. I immediately contacted them and they hadnât even sent out the medicine. They refused to cancel the order and they didnât send it out until December 29, 2025, six days later. I told them I was going to refuse the order so they never sent me any tracking order numbers which they did last time. I feel like they did some shady stuff and were waiting for the bank to contact them 6 days after taking our money on Christmas Eve they shipped the medicine I did not consent for or authorize anything to be sent. I didnât speak to a doctor about continuing this prescription. I Wasnât even contacted by rmail to say it was being refilled, until the money was gone. I reached out by rmail after they took the money: I did not use this business anymore and I donât remember ever signing up for another 6 month supply. Especially since I am being prescribed a different weight loss med through my own doctor who is monitoring my health. now weâre having a difficult financial time because the weather and my husband works in the Atlantic Ocean in the cold and windy days he cannot go out due to it being rough water, so now we donât have the $1500.00 we had saved to pay bills during this time of bad weather. And it has been stressful.

16) “Hers cancelled my account and will not be shipping the second half of what I paid for.”

  • Texas
  • Jan. 2026

I had ordered a product previously that was paid upfront for two shipments 24 weeks apart. After the second shipment, I set my account to do not auto-renew because I did not want more product and could not find how to cancel (June 2025). On 11/16/25, without any prior notice of this transaction taking place, I received an email notification that I was charged another $1980 and the product was shipping. I reached out but was told it was too late and it could not be reversed. I filed a dispute with my credit card since I believed this was not right as my account was set to not renew. I ended up being charged the full amount. Hers cancelled my account and will not be shipping the second half of what I paid for. I have reached out numerous times over several weeks to initiate a refund for the second half I won’t be receiving, and I have not been given any real answers. I just get the runaround. I just want my $990 refunded.

17) “I am scared I wonât get my money back now”

  • Texas
  • Jan. 2026

I was thinking of buying hims hair treatment stuff. I saw the chewables were 35$. I decided to put my card in and buy it. low and behold these people charge me 175$ and change the chewables to some hairspray crap I cannot afford this. I have not heard anything about a refund and I have seen that these people are re-activating subscriptions. I am scared I wonât get my money back now. I need it back. I am saying these people are false advertising thatâs ridiculous 175$ without even knowing they never once said the price I was going to be charged was 175$. they showed 35 on the advertisement but yeah this is ridiculous

18) “My account was paused”

  • Washington
  • Jan. 2026

A charge for $175 went through today 1/14 on my paused account. i called when i woke up a few hours later and they said they were unable to refund anything because it had already shipped, and that i wasn’t able to return it. my account was paused. no transaction should have gone though. they said they could at least send a replacement to my new address because i hadn’t updated it since i moved (because my account was paused) but still wont refund me.

19) “I am out $395.00”

  • Minnesota
  • Jan. 2026

I ordered a weight loss medication through Hers website. I spoke with my doctor about the medication I was prescribed and he told me that this medication could have serious and dangerous side effects and told me not to take it. I reached out to the company via chat through their app as well as on the phone. I asked to cancel my order and they said it was in the process of being filled and they could not cancel but I could change the medication that was prescribed to me. I spoke with a representative through the chat app who said I could discuss with a physician a different medication. A physician reached out to me and instead of offering different options of medications I could try, his response was that all medications can be dangerous. I started to get really frustrated that they were making it difficult to change to another medication and asked that they just cancel my order . They told me they would not cancel it and did not help me to change me prescription and instead just stopped responding and then proceeded to ship out the medication I was advised to not take. I am out $395.00. At the time that I had asked for them to cancel my prescription, the order had not shipped. I have never experienced such bad customer service and feel that this company just takes advantage of their customers. I even asked if I could just pay cost for the product since they told me they canât restock the medicine and I received no response. This company should be held accountable. I have read many other complaints about this company now and would never do business with them again. I also asked for my account to be permanently closed after reading from other customers that they are also known for charging peoples accounts after they have cancelled their prescription and I received no response. I have never complained about a company before but if I donât say anything, many others may end up experiencing the same horrible experience I had.

20) “I told them they cannot ship me these kind of drugs when I haven’t even reviewed with a doctor.”

  • Washington
  • Jan. 2026

I had a subscription to weight loss medication. The billed me for an order that hadn’t shipped yet. I called and said I want it cancelled and refunded since it hadn’t shipped. They said they wouldn’t. The order contains prescription drugs. I have not had a review with a doctor in over 4 months. One of the drugs in an antidepressant. I told them they cannot ship me these kind of drugs when I haven’t even reviewed with a doctor. They said they were shipping them anyway and not refunding the money. There doctors are continuing prescriptions without checking in with patients.

21) “This company needs to be investigated…”

  • Ohio
  • Jan. 2026

I wanted to go one a glp 1 oral medication. This company makes it seem as if it’s a glp 1 oral medication. Then suddenly, I login in to my account to see if the doctor has approved it and it shows that the doctor has prescribed something else for an oral weight loss medication. The medications are Wellbutrin XL (which is an antidepressant), Naltrexone, an opioid antagonist medication used to treat alcohol use disorder, They give this med to people trying to recover from drug and alcoholism, Topamax which is an anticonvulsant medications. and then vitamin b12. All of these medications can have terrible side effects and I find it to be a very unsafe practice when you make us customers commit to 10 MONTHS which just cost me $690. I did not approve any of these medications nor would I take any of these medications. The ‘care team’ asked me today if I was ok with these medications and Immediately answered no and I just got a message that the medications were shipped this afternoon. Charging me $690 and there is no refund once shipped. There is also no way to contact this company by phone and it says their average response to messages is around 4 hours. This also appliesif you need to reach your ‘care team quickly’. As you can guess no one has responded to my messages about not wanting the meds and to cancel my Order. They shipped it instead. This company needs to be investigated on what they are doing because they are scammers prescribing dangerous meds with many side effects and make you commit to these medications for 10 months without even letting the customer know before they ship the medications. I ran this by my family physician office and they stated to absolutely not take any of these medications. I want my money back, my payment info deleted and my subscription canceled and my account to be deleted. I am willing to go however far I need to have this matter resolved.

22) “This situation has caused significant financial harm…”

  • Colorado
  • Jan. 2026

On January 3, 2026, I completed the intake process correctly and submitted payment via Klarna (installment plan).

No response was received within a reasonable timeframe, so I contacted support by phone. I was informed of a system error preventing provider review, and was advised to cancel and restart the intake.

This required re-submitting payment information multiple times, which affected my Klarna interest rate, increased my payment amounts, and impacted my credit due to repeated authorization attempts.

After several failed attempts, I successfully completed the intake and transaction on January 6, 2026.

Despite assurances from support (including multiple confirmations that everything appeared normal and shipping was imminent), no order progress occurred, and no medication shipped.

Following extensive communication (approximately 60 email exchanges with [redacted]), a technical issue was eventually identified: my payment was processed and received via Klarna, but the order was never fulfilled or shipped due to a backend error with no workaround available.

As a result, the order was fully canceled (this being the fourth cancellation caused by your systemâs issues), and I was instructed to start the process over again.Despite these repeated cancellationsânone of which were due to any error on my partâI have not received a full refund from your company. Klarna continues to charge me daily interest on the unpaid balance, and I am unable to initiate new transactions through Klarna until the prior charges are resolved and refunded.

This situation has caused significant financial harm (accrued interest, credit impact) and unnecessary delays in accessing necessary medication, all stemming from recurring technical and processing failures on their end.

23) “Nevertheless, the company processed the charge to my American Express card.”

  • Florida
  • Feb. 2026

I am submitting this complaint to support your investigation into subscription auto-renewal and cancellation practices that I believe are unfair and harmful to consumers, particularly older adults. I had subscribed to a prescription hair-loss service and decided the product was not effective for me. I cancelled the subscription in October and believed it was fully terminated. On January 27, I received a text message stating that a renewal order was about to be processed. I immediately logged into my account and cancelled again before shipment occurred. The order status at that time showed the package was still in the companys warehouse and had not yet been picked up by USPS. Based on that information, I reasonably believed the cancellation had stopped the order. Nevertheless, the company processed the charge to my American Express card. When I contacted customer service promptly, I requested both a refund and that the unshipped order be pulled. They refused. Only after I complained further did they release the package for shipment, yet they still denied a refund and would not accept a return even if unopened. From a consumer standpoint, these practices are deeply concerning: Charges processed despite timely cancellation attempts Cancellation systems that do not reliably stop pending renewals Refusal to intercept orders that have not yet shipped No grace-period refund window after auto-renewal billing Refusal to accept returns of unopened products Practices that function in a predatory way against vulnerable populations, especially the elderly. Consumers should be able to rely on cancellation confirmations and visible order status. When companies proceed with billing and fulfillment anyway, it creates an unfair and misleading process. I respectfully ask that this complaint be included in your review and that stronger enforcement and clearer rules be established for auto-renewal subscriptions, cancellation processing, and refund obligations. Thank you for your work protecting consumers and for your attention to this matter.

24) “I believe it is unfair and misleading to charge customers without clear advance notice and then refuse cancellation before shipment.”

  • New York
  • Feb. 2026

I am submitting this complaint regarding an unauthorized charge to my credit card and poor customer service from Hers. My credit card was charged without any prior notification or reminder. I was not informed in advance that a charge would occur, nor was I given a reasonable opportunity to cancel before the charge was processed. At the time I noticed the charge, the product had not yet shipped. I immediately contacted customer service to cancel the order and request a refund. Despite the fact that the product had not been shipped, I was told that the order could not be canceled. Customer service was unhelpful and did not offer a reasonable solution or escalation, leaving me responsible for a charge I did not knowingly authorize at that time. I believe it is unfair and misleading to charge customers without clear advance notice and then refuse cancellation before shipment. This practice prevents consumers from making informed decisions and creates unnecessary financial disputes

25) “They donât provide any phone number and so you canât even cancel anything…”

  • North Carolina
  • Jan. 2026

I purchased a product 1 year ago without subscribing anything and now they charged me on Saturday morning of $195 sending me an email notification that this product is shipped on monday so it wonât give me time to do any dispute/cause the transaction it wonât be clear by Tuesday, thereâs no where to contact them cause they donât provide any phone number and so you canât even cancel anything not even giving me a notification in advance the product will be charged cause they are thieves.

26) “This experience caused severe anguish and he was left on the phone trying to call both his bank and the Hims site for hours.”

  • New York
  • Feb. 2026

My loved one was seeking mental health care from a company called Hims that advertises medication and psychiatric care. He was told on the site that he would meet with a professional first and then would be offered options for treatment but that did not happen. His bank account was already negative and they charged him even though he had not spoken to a psychiatric care provider, 165.00. He struggles with depression and harmful thoughts. This experience caused severe anguish and he was left on the phone trying to call both his bank and the hims site for hours. And no one picked up. This should be illegal. As someone who is a mental health counselor (myself), people who are in need of HELP should not be charged money and left on long wait times by telephone. In a severe case this could cause someoneâs life. This needs to stop.

27) “There is no option to remove my card from their website, (which I’m pretty sure is illegal.)”

  • Georgia
  • Jan. 2026

In late 2024 I subscribed to Hims and Hers for weight loss medication. After a while I felt like it wasn’t effective so I unsubscribed in early 2025. There is no option to remove my card from their website, (which I’m pretty sure is illegal.) Sometime after, I have no idea when, they reactivated my subscription without my consent or informing me. On 12/12/2025 I received an email that I would be receiving a shipment for the medication. I checked my bank and found I was charged $1980 I promptly called my bank to dispute the charge. I also went to their website to cancel if possible. I could cancel the subscription again, but could not remove my card information at all, so I had to order a new credit card. Note: I did not receive any information from Hims about the subscription being cancelled when I cancelled it on 12/12. There was no acknowledgement about the subscription being cancelled until I received an email on 12/29 more than 2 weeks after I disputed the charge. I believe they purposely don’t send email on subscription cancel so they can reactivate subscription without my knowledge. Which is why there is no option on their website to remove payment method. So that months later they can charge my card and I’ll have no proof of cancelling earlier. Additionally, between the time I cancelled the subscription the first time and the time they sent me the second order, I had moved to a completely different address in a different state. There is no way for me to receive the order at all or even return it. I also researched and saw that the FTC was investigating Hims regarding account and cancellation subscription policies and continued billing after cancelling. Which shows that I am not alone in suffering from this.

The company forced me to speak to a doctor before learning about the product and to do that, I had to provide all of my information including my credit card. I decided I didn’t want to participate in their program and was told it was canceled. However, this week I was charged for a ‘refill’ when I never bought the product in the first place and when I asked them to cancel they said they did. Now today, not only have I not been refunded but they sent me a shipment notification and tracking for my ‘refill’ of something I never had, never used, never wanted. I am receiving no response from their online chat and cannot find a phone number to call them.
