Russian forces carried out 37 attacks on 23 settlements in Ukraine's Sumy region over the past 24 hours, injuring seven people, including two children.

According Ukrinform, the Sumy Regional Police reported this on Facebook.

The attacks involved guided aerial bombs, FPV and other attack drones, mortars, and artillery.

The strikes targeted the Sumy, Shostka, Okhtyrka, and Konotop districts.

In the Sumy community, an 18-year-old man was injured in a Russian drone strike. Two other residents – a 26-year-old woman and a 73-year-old woman – also sought medical treatment for injuries sustained in a drone attack on July 20.

Medical assistance was also provided to two children: an eight-month-old girl injured in a Russian drone strike on July 19, and a 12-year-old boy wounded in a guided aerial bomb attack on July 15.

In the Bilopillia community, a 76-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman sought medical treatment after being injured in a Russian drone strike on July 20.

The attacks also damaged residential buildings, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure in several parts of the region.

Police investigative teams are working at the strike sites, and criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of Ukraine's Criminal Code, which covers violations of the laws and customs of war.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that Russian forces struck a nine-story residential building in the city of Sumy and then launched a second strike targeting the area where emergency responders from Ukraine's State Emergency Service were working. Six people were injured.
