Russian forces carried out 979 strikes on 54 settlements across Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours, killing three people and injuring 24 others.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
According to Fedorov, Russian forces launched 21 airstrikes targeting Zaporizhzhia and numerous other communities across the region.
They also carried out 717 drone attacks, primarily involving FPV drones, striking Zaporizhzhia as well as dozens of towns and villages, including Vilniansk, Kushuhum, Mala Katerynivka, Komyshuvakha, Orikhiv, Stepnohirsk, Huliaipilske, Mala Tokmachka, and others.
In addition, Russian troops fired two multiple-launch rocket system strikes at the settlements of Mahdalynivka and Orikhiv.
A further 239 artillery strikes hit more than two dozen communities, including Orikhiv, Stepnohirsk, Pavlivka, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Bilohiria, Huliaipilske, and Verkhnia Tersa.
Regional authorities received 197 reports of damage to civilian infrastructure, homes, vehicles, and outbuildings.
Earlier on the same day, Russian forces struck the city of Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs, killing three people and injuring 13, Ukrinform reported.
