MOSCOW, August 9. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces attacked the border Belgorod Region with drones, Acting Governor Alexander Shuvaev said on Max.

The attack injured 13 people in Belgorod, including two children. Multifamily buildings suffered damage.

Attack scale

  • Belgorod is once again under a massive drone attack by Kiev terrorists, Shuvaev said.

  • Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 153 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian regions overnight, including over the Belgorod Region.

Aftermath

  • Thirteen people, including two children, were injured.

  • An ambulance crew took a four-year-old boy with shrapnel wounds to the chest to the regional children’s clinical hospital.

  • A nine-year-old boy and three adults received medical assistance at the scene, while ambulance crews are taking eight injured people to city hospitals.

  • According to preliminary information, more than four apartment buildings, an administrative building, a social services facility and a commercial property were damaged.

  • Two cars and a private house caught fire in drone explosions.

  • Belgorod Mayor Valentin Demidov is visiting the affected sites.

  • City district administration staff are documenting the damage and helping residents following the drone attack, the mayor said.
