Seizures worth crores of rupees, FIRs, arrests, hundreds of raids leading to issuance of notices and cancellation of permits. Maharashtra FDA has been taking action on a war footing against food and drug adulteration. And behind this is an IAS officer who has faced 25 transfers in the last 21 years of service. As the Maharashtra FDA Commissioner, his priority is to stop the widespread adulteration of milk, to keep junk food out of our children’s reach, and to make our food completely traceable.
