CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The municipal government of Looc in Occidental Mindoro will lift its “no-sail policy” effective at 1 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 11), according to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO). Sea travel had been restricted since Aug. 3 because of poor weather. However, the MDRRMO reminded residents and boat operators that the lifting of the local restriction does not supersede advisories issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAGASA) regarding gale warnings.
