MANILA, Philippines — The water level at La Mesa Dam stood at 80.12 meters (m) as of 4:20 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, just 0.3 m below its spilling level, which is set at 80.15 m. The dam’s water level was at 80.11 m earlier at 11 a.m., with the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) saying that excess floodwaters will spill over in the event that the dam’s water level reaches 80.15 m.
