MANILA, Philippines – The impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte resumes Tuesday, Aug. 11, after Monday’s suspension due to the southwest monsoon, or habagat.
On the 14th day of proceedings, the Senate impeachment court is set to hear another testimony in relation to Duterte’s use of confidential funds when she served as vice president and Department of Education secretary.

Commission on Audit Intelligence and Confidential Funds Audit Office (COA-ICFAO) auditor Xylene del Campo is expected to return to the witness stand. She is xpected to discuss the steps taken by COA-ICFAO after she was assigned to audit Duterte’s confidential funds in 2024.

More than 4,000 acknowledgment receipts in focus. Del Campo is expected to testify on the documents submitted by the Office of the Vice President and DepEd to support their use of confidential funds.
