Revenues also surged 63 percent to P585.4 million from P358.6 million in the same period last year.

Second-quarter revenues climbed 96 percent year on year and 51 percent quarter on quarter to P352.4 million.
PhilWeb attributed the improvement largely to its digital gaming solutions segment, which comprises its interactive platform solution and game content distribution business.
The segment generated P200.3 million in revenues during the second quarter, up 152 percent from the previous quarter. It accounted for 57 percent of PhilWeb’s total revenues during the period.

“The rapid sequential growth and margin expansion in the second quarter validate the massive operating leverage of our digital gaming solutions segment,” PhilWeb president Brian Ng said.
Ng said PhilWeb was building a regulatory-compliant digital ecosystem by providing technology solutions to licensed operators and global content providers.
The earnings turnaround came as PhilWeb strengthened its push into artificial intelligence following the election of strategic investor Lance Gokongwei to its board of directors.
PhilWeb is also integrating global content providers Pragmatic Play and Games Global into its digital gaming solutions.
Its platform currently supports regulated online frameworks for network partners including Okada Manila, Hann Resort, NUSTAR Online, Newport World Resorts, PT Gaming and FBM Philippines. /pai
