CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Renewable energy advocates have been urging the Sangguniang Bayan of Mansalay to pass an ordinance declaring the town as Oriental Mindoro’s first renewable energy municipality. REnew Mindoro, together with the Center for Energy, Ecology, and Development (CEED), presented its study on Mindoro’s fossil fuel dependence and renewable energy potential during a recent engagement with the Mansalay government, according to a statement emailed to the Inquirer on Wednesday.
