In the village of Znamenivka in the Donetsk region, Russian invaders attacked a civilian vehicle, killing two and wounding three civilians.
The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“On July 21, 2026, at 1:25 p.m., Russian troops attacked the village of Znamenivka in the Oleksandrivka community. A vehicle carrying civilians was hit. A 76-year-old local resident and a 68-year-old woman were killed on the spot,” the statement reads.
It is noted that three other people—two women and a man—sustained injuries of varying severity. They have received medical care.
Under the procedural supervision of the Kramatorsk District Prosecutor’s Office, a pretrial investigation has been launched in criminal proceedings regarding a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As previously reported, on July 21, Russian invaders struck Sloviansk with two 500-kilogram aerial bombs, damaging buildings, a private residence, and vehicles.
