A teenager is accused of assaulting a man with a crowbar after gatecrashing a party at a north Brisbane home.

The 16-year-old allegedly assaulted at 56-year-old man at his home on Elkhorn Street in Enoggera about 11.30pm on Friday.

Police allege a group of people attended a party at the home and were asked to leave by the resident.

The 56-year-old was then struck with a crowbar and suffered a non-life-threatening injury to his wrist.

An 18-year-old also suffered a hand injury. He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.

The 16-year-old, from Springfield, was arrested at the home. He was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm while armed with an offensive instrument and will appear before Brisbane Children’s Court on August 21.

Queensland Police confirmed a party on Elkhorn Street was registered with their Party Safe program.
