Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLAs from combined Medak district — former minister V. Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, Chinta Prabhakar and K. Manik Rao, and former MLA Ch. Kranti Kiran — have condemned the comments made by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during the Sangareddy public meeting on Saturday.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, they remarked that except for using filthy language against former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and former minister T. Harish Rao, Mr. Revanth Reddy did not speak even one useful word. He spoke blatant lies even on Independence Day by holding a public meeting with public money.

On ration cards, they reminded the Chief Minister that Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy himself was on record in the Legislative Council that the previous BRS Government had issued over 6.47 lakh new ration cards during its two terms in office. They said fine rice issuance would not go to the Congress Government’s credit since it was introduced by the previous BRS Government itself.

On power supply to the farm sector, they said even the authorities of the power utilities were admitting that they were giving up to 12 hours supply to agricultural pumpsets.

Separately, Mr. Harish Rao said in a statement that he was ready for an open debate with the Chief Minister on farm loan waiver, power supply to farm sector, fee reimbursement and others. He alleged that the government had emptied Singur project, which serves drinking water needs of Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts and in areas such as Narayankhed water was being supplied once every 2-3 days.

On the Chief Minister’s claim of providing 24-hour power to agriculture, Mr. Harish Rao said he had personally inspected the logbooks at the Raghavapur, Narsapur and Bommalaramaram substations and found that the three-phase power to agriculture was not being supplied for more than 10–11 hours.

He stated that farmers were also struggling to get urea and DAP as the online fertilizer booking system was not functioning properly in several villages and some village names such as Narmeta and Venkatapur were not being found in the app. The Congress Government had also denied ₹15,000 crore under Rythu Bharosa in 2024-25 (₹5,557 crore) and in 2025-26 (₹11,000 crore), while the previous BRS Government had given ₹14,743 crore in 2022-23 alone.
