According to the investigation, at around 21:30 on August 16, Russian forces used a UMPB-5R, a rocket-propelled guided aerial bomb. At least 15 houses were damaged. Three women and two men were injured.

At around 4:00 on August 17, Izium came under another Russian attack, reportedly involving a Geran-3 UAV. Apartment buildings and private houses, as well as cars, were damaged.

Under the procedural supervision of the Izium District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kharkiv region, pretrial investigations have been launched into alleged war crimes under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces attacked Izium with guided aerial bombs in the evening of August 16, with at least four people initially reported injured.
