MANILA, Philippines — Students of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Sampaloc, Manila, took shelter inside the Santisimo Rosario Parish as the southwest monsoon, or habagat, continued to bring intense rains in Luzon on Monday, Aug. 17. The Varsitarian, UST’s official student publication, shared photos of the situation inside the church, located within the UST Central Seminary Building, where regular Masses are celebrated on weekdays and weekends.
