Here's what CNBC TV's producers were watching as the three major averages posted back-to-back losses, and what's on the radar for the next session. Home Depot reports on 'Squawk Box' The stock is up 13.6% in three months. Home Depot shares are 21% from the September 2025 high. HD 3M mountain Home Depot in the past three months BHP's CEO is live on 'Morning Call' Watch Morgan Brennan's interview in the 5 a.m. hour ET with BHP CEO Brandon Craig. It's Craig's first big interview since he took the helm at the mining giant on July 1. The stock is up almost 5% in three months. Shares are down 6% from the June 16 high. Memories… Jim Cramer of "Mad Money" did a great take on the DRAM memory stocks Monday night. He credited the companies for big buybacks. Many, with the exception of Micron , have been buying back shares. In the past, he was worried about getting behind them too much, due to their boom-and-bust cycle of these stocks. He posits this time could be different due to data center demand which creates demand for memory chips. Sandisk is up more than 652% this year but down 24% from the high. It is up 3,911% in a year. Seagate is up 261% year to date. Shares are off 13% from the June 18 high. It is up 544% in a year. Micron is up 254% year to date. The stock is down 20% from the June high. It is up 737% in a year. Western Digital is up 211% year to date. Shares are off 33% from the June 18 high. The stock is up 614% in a year. We'll have more on the memory stocks Tuesday, starting on " Morning Call ." The Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM) is down 25% from the June 22 high. The ETF is up about 20% so far in August. WDC YTD mountain Western Digital in 2026 Housing starts live on 'Squawk Box' The July number comes out at 8:30 a.m. Becky Quick, Andrew Ross Sorkin and Joe Kernen will have the numbers. The Dow Jones consensus calls for 1.34 million, which is a drop of 6.1% from the previous month. CNBC TV's Diana Olick covers housing and will have all the details and any potential stock impact. Industrial production That data comes out at 9:15 a.m. live on " Squawk on the Street " with Carl Quintanilla, Jim Cramer and David Faber. Amer Sports reports on 'Squawk Box' The stock is flat in three months. Shares are down 24% from the February high. Amer Sports is an owner of sports brands including Atomic and Salomon skis, Louisville Slugger, mountain equipment company Arc'teryx and Wilson. AS YTD mountain Amer Sports in 2026 Klarna reports on 'Squawk Box' The payments stock is up 28.6% in three months. Klarna is down 65% from the September high. The fintech and payment company infamously fired a large chunk of its workforce, claiming AI could do the job before reportedly hiring many workers back. In a May 2025 Bloomberg article, Klarna CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski said, "From a brand perspective, a company perspective, I just think it's so critical that you are clear to your customer that there will be always a human if you want." Toll Brothers reports on 'Closing Bell: Overtime' The stock is up 15% in three months. Toll Brothers shares are off 13% from the February high. TOL 3M mountain Toll Brothers in three months The Meta trial in California The social media giant faces a lawsuit in California, which accuses Mark Zuckerberg's Meta Platforms of harming children and teens. The headline on CNBC.com Monday read, "Meta faces 'astronomical' consequences as legal fight reaches critical moment in California." Meta is down 28% from the high reached last September. Shares are down almost 14% so far in 2026. CNBC TV's Julia Boorstin continues her coverage Tuesday. Gold Gold futures are up 11% in a month. The VanEck Gold Miners ETF (GDX) is up almost 29% in a month, but the fund is still down 21% from the March high. CNBC " Fast Money " trader Guy Adami said he was keeping his eye on gold. We'll continue doing that on Tuesday.
