2 reported dead, 9 injured in Ateneo de Zamboanga shooting

MANILA, Philippines — Two individuals are reported to be fatalities following a school shooting incident at Ateneo de Zamboanga University.
The school shooting occurred on the morning of Tuesday, August 18.
Local media reports said that nine individuals were injured in the shooting.
Full details of the incident have yet to be verified. Local police have yet to issue a statement.
In separate statements, Ateneo De Zamboanga Grade School and Junior High School said that the students are “are safe and accounted for.”
Police immediately arrived at the premises following the incident.
The shooter allegedly livestreamed the incident on his social media account.
In circulating videos, the shooter was shown carrying a long firearm and a pistol. The shooter first fired at the person in front of the classroom, then opened fire on the other people.
