Ecuadorean ​Richard Carapaz on Thursday scored a decisive victory in the final climb to Orcieres-Merlette to secure ​a solo victory in stage 18 of the Tour de France. While Tadej Pogacar maintained his overall lead, the Slovenian suffered a blow as one of his key team-mates, Brandon McNulty, abandoned the race.
