According to military sources, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, the enemy launched an attack using two “Iskander-M” ballistic missiles, 65 Shahed-type strike UAVs (including jet-powered ones), “Gerbera,” ‘Banderole’ loitering munitions, and “Parody”-type decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Orel, as well as the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiyske (in the temporarily occupied Crimea).
The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, air defense forces shot down or neutralized 56 drones and two “Banderole” drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

Hits were recorded at 10 locations, and downed targets (debris) were found at three locations.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones in the airspace.
As reported by Ukrinform, on August 18, Russian troops launched a missile strike on Pechenihy in the Kharkiv region, killing 10 people.
