If you weren’t sick enough of scrolling through the many social media posts of people’s Ibiza holidays, Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid has snuck one in before the end of August.
The Good Morning Britain presenter couldn’t be further away from the ITV show as she was seen partying it up in the Spanish clubbing capital before returning to the morning programme desk.
The broadcaster, 55, has been away from the show throughout the summer, with holiday presenters filling in while the main hosting line-up is away.
However, Reid brought a bit of GMB with her to Wayne Lineker’s beach club O Beach after it was announced that the show had been nominated for Best Daytime Programme at the National Television Awards.
Having left her blouses behind, Reid – seen in a swimming costume and shorts – posed in front of cozzie-donned women holding up a sign which read: “VOTE GMB,” posting it to Instagram.
“We are up for Best Daytime Programme at the incredible @officialntas so I celebrated at one of Ibiza’s best daytime clubs @obeachibiza,” Reid wrote in the caption. “VOTE GMB link in my bio.”
Her co-hosts flocked to the comments, with Rob Rinder posting a series of clapping emojis, while weather presenter Alex Beresford said: “This is how you do it!”
Frequent contributor Ashley James wrote: “Iconic x,” while presenter Paul Brand said: “@GMB never does anything half hearted!”
Lineker, who is the brother of presenter Gary Lineker and owns O Beach Ibiza, added: “Got my vote,” with emojis of the number 100, winky face, raised hands and an orange heart.
Last month, Reid reunited with her former co-presenter Piers Morgan on GMB, five years after his dramatic ITV exit.
In 2021, Morgan stormed off the show’s set after being criticised by Beresford over his comments about the Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. Following Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, Morgan said that he “didn’t believe a word” she said about having suicidal thoughts during her time as a senior royal.
Morgan later stepped down as an anchor of GMB and left ITV. He also appeared to backtrack on his initial condemnation of Markle, saying that he may “still have serious concerns about the veracity of a lot of what” she said, but it was “not for me to question if she felt suicidal”.
Reid, who joined GMB in 2014 as a lead presenter, has continued hosting the show ever since alongside the likes of Richard Madeley, Kate Garraway, Ben Shephard and Ed Balls.
