FPL team: Five midfielders you should consider picking for Gameweek 1

Here are five midfielders you should be thinking about signing for your team...

• Bruno Fernandes (£12.0m) -Fernandes broke the Premier League assists record last year and has been a consistent performer since joining Manchester United in January 2020. Almost guaranteed to start every game and deliver points.
• Morgan Gibbs-White (£8.0m) -Nottingham Forest’s talisman who looks set to play an even more important role following the departure of Elliot Anderson. He stepped up in the closing stages of last season to guide Forest to safety.
• Martin Odegaard (£6.5m) -Odegaard struggled with injuries last season but enjoyed a strong World Cup and caught the eye in the Community Shield. Could be set for a strong campaign as he looks to prove he is back to his best.
• Iliman Ndiaye (£6.0m) -The player who often looks most likely to make something happen for Everton, and he will be looking to build on an impressive campaign at Hill Dickinson Stadium last season.
• Granit Xhaka (£5.5m) -An experienced player who was arguably the signing of the season for Sunderland last year. Opted against joining Chelsea and could be in line to drive Sunderland forward once more this season.
