Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is going to be a tame upgrade, at least in terms of fit and finish, as a leaked image reveals that the design is almost entirely unchanged.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra continues Samsung’s ongoing lineup of monstrous Android tablets, with the 14.6-inch behemoth rumored to debut in the next couple of months or so. A new chipset, Android 17 out of the box, and other tweaks can be expected, but this is a wholly unchanged piece of hardware.

At least, that’s what it looks like in a low-res image of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra posted by Android Headlines. Like last year’s model, there are thin bezels, a metal build, a teardrop selfie camera notch, and two cameras on the back.

Side by side with last year’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, there are no clear differences at all.

Just to reiterate, we lined up the leak with an official image of the Tab S11 Ultra as closely as possible, and the slider speaks for itself.

Tablets are a pretty mature form factor, but this design really hasn’t changed much at all since its inception. The Tab S11 Ultra shrunk the display notch and moved the S Pen charging station to the frame, but even Tab S10 Ultra and Tab S9 Ultra – and Tab S8 Ultra, for that matter – all looked exactly like this.

We’ll have to wait and see if there’s anything under the hood to make this one stand out.
