Gaza’s civil defence recovered the remains of 11 Palestinians from the al-Sawafiri house in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighbourhood during a three-day operation, Al Jazeera reported.

Muhammad Abu Dan, executive supervisor of the recovery unit, said specialised teams have begun searching for more remains at another site in Gaza City.

An estimated 10,000 people remain unaccounted for and are believed to be buried under the rubble of collapsed buildings across Gaza, where a lack of heavy machinery has severely limited recovery efforts.
