Agnes Bakery’s successor has everything that made it such a pandemic-era hit: the fire-licked sourdough loaves, Basque cheesecakes, caneles, kouign-amanns and so on – but also an all-day menu more imaginative than most around town, with daily salads and sandwiches added to the mix from 10am. Coffee is by Sydney’s Single O and, of course, this is an Anyday venue so you know it looks a million dollars.

Good to know: Part of the new(ish) Little Lane precinct, Idle’s neighbours include RUMA Rooftop, Green Cup and Johnny Gio Pizza.
