The Metropolitan Police are appealing to the public for information after two siblings from Hayes were reported missing earlier this week.

Officers received a report of two missing teenagers, who have been named as Mukarma, 16, and Muhammed, 14, on Monday at 9:28am, the police said.

A report was filed after the children's parents discovered they were not in bed on Monday morning.

Mukarma has been “described as being Asian, 5'3", with a slim build and long, black, wavy hair that is often in braids. She has a dimple of one side of her face and may possibly be wearing a Hijab.”

Muhammed has been “described as being Asian, 5’9”, with a slim build and shoulder-length black hair.” Police noted that “he often wears glasses.”

Police said a family member’s white Toyota Prius, with the registration KR10 NTF, was also reported missing, while officers “believe the children took the vehicle in the early hours of Monday morning, using it to aid their disappearance”.

They added: “Initial enquiries identified an ANPR camera record for the vehicle at 11:24hrs on Monday, 17 August on the A40 Oxford Road, Gerrards Cross, travelling westbound towards Beaconsfield.”

However, there have not been any further camera reports of the vehicle since. The siblings’ family have also not seen or been contacted by either of the children.

Detective Sergeant Gary Walker, leader of the investigation, said: “We are increasingly concerned for the welfare of Mukarma and Muhammed due to their ages, the length of time they have been missing and the belief that they may be driving a car without a license.

“It is now a critical time in our investigation. By now the children, who are extremely vulnerable, could be anywhere in the country, so we are appealing to public to come forward with any information or sightings. We are particularly keen to here from anyone who may have offered them assistance or accommodation in recent days.

“Any piece of information, no matter how small, could be crucial to our investigation.”

Police have asked members of the public who see the siblings “to call 999 immediately, quoting reference CAD 2117/17AUG.”

They added that information can also been given “anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
