PUB files police report after photo of crocodile sighting at Pandan Reservoir found to be fake

SINGAPORE – National water agency PUB has filed a police report, after confirming that a photograph of a reported crocodile sighting at Pandan Reservoir is fake.

In a Facebook post on the night of Aug 21, PUB said that after further investigation, it has confirmed that the photograph provided in relation to the reported crocodile sighting at Pandan Reservoir on Aug 20 was fake.

It added: “PUB takes a serious view of false information that may cause public alarm and disrupt activities. We have ceased search operations and made a police report.”
