SEOUL, Aug. 22 (Yonhap) -- President Lee Jae Myung plans to invite all lawmakers of the ruling Democratic Party (DP) for a luncheon next week, his office said Saturday.
Lee will host the lawmakers at Cheong Wa Dae in Seoul next Friday ahead of the regular parliamentary session set to begin next month, according to Kang Yu-jung, senior presidential spokesperson.
"As the luncheon is linked to the party's workshop schedule, it appears that all lawmakers will attend," a ruling party official said, adding that it plans to hold a two-day workshop starting Thursday to prepare for the regular session.
In August last year, Lee also invited all DP lawmakers to Cheong Wa Dae for a luncheon during their party workshop in an apparent bid to strengthen unity between the government and the ruling party.
