LIST: Canceled ferry trips due to Severe Tropical Storm Kiyapo
MANILA, Philippines — Several ferry trips were canceled on Friday due to Severe Tropical Storm Kiyapo, the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) said.
According to PPA, it does not cancel trips, noting that “trips are automatically canceled because ships are not allowed to sail” if the Philippine Coast Guard issues a “no sail policy.” With this, the following trips were canceled as of 7 p.m.:

PMO Masbate

- TMO-Maasin: MV Cesar Jose of RLS Shipping Lines (Maasin to Limasawa and vice versa)
- TMO-Maasin: MV Ocean Jet 188 of Ocean Fast Ferries, Inc. (Cebu to Maasin and Maasin to Surigao and vice versa)
PMO Panay/Guimaras
- Port of Sibunag: Port of Sibunag to Pulupandan (MV Ron Jayredine II)
- Port of Jordan: Montenegro MV Maria Beatriz: Lapuz RoRo Iloilo to Port of Jordan, Guimaras

According to the 8 p.m. bulletin of Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, Kiyopo was still located over the coastal waters of Calayan Island in Calayan, Cagayan as of 7 p.m.
It now intensified into a severe tropical storm, carrying a maximum wind speed of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 130 kph. It was moving west-northwestward at 25 kph.

A gale warning was also raised over the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon. /jpv
