The album is expected to arrive in late September, giving the country superstar another opportunity to extend a sterling career on the Billboard charts that has already lasted more than 30 years.

“Carry On” pushes from No. 11 to No. 9 on this week’s Country Airplay chart, entering the ranking’s highest tier and finally becoming a top 10 hit. The 60-space roster orders the songs that reach the largest audiences at country radio stations throughout the United States.

As it climbs, the single becomes Chesney’s sixty-second top 10 on the Country Airplay chart, giving him more wins in that coveted region than any other artist in the tally’s history. Before “Carry On” entered the space, he was tied with George Strait and Tim McGraw, who have each collected 61 top 10s.

Kenny Chesney Already Claims the Most No. 1 Hits

A little more than half of Chesney’s 62 Country Airplay top 10s worked their way to No. 1. The singer has ruled the radio tally with 33 different tracks, another all-time record. Blake Shelton and McGraw trail with 30 and 29 champions, respectively.

Jason Aldean, who leads the current Country Airplay chart again with “Don’t Tell on Me,” recently moved into fourth place on the historic list. That single gave him a twenty-seventh ruler and broke his tie with Alan Jackson, Strait and Luke Bryan, all of whom have nabbed 26 No. 1s.

“Carry On” also advances to new peaks on another two Billboard tallies as it reaches the country radio list’s loftiest arena. The single improves four spaces to No. 22 on the Hot Country Songs roster and lifts from No. 30 to No. 28 on the Radio Songs chart.

Kenny Chesney Barely Holds on to the Billboard Hot 100

While “Carry On” grows on all three radio-connected rankings, it moves in the opposite direction on the Billboard Hot 100. The single dips from No. 97 to No. 99 in only its fourth week on the 100-position tally, barely managing to remain on the list. “Carry On” has climbed no higher than No. 95 on the chart.
