According to Ukrinform, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
"At around 11:30 on July 24, the enemy launched a strike on the Kyiv region with three Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from the northern direction. As a result of combat operations, air defenses managed to intercept one missile. Two missile impacts were recorded in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region," the statement said.
At around 11:45, Russia also attacked the Odesa region with two Oniks anti-ship missiles launched from temporarily occupied Crimea. Due to active countermeasures by Ukraine's Defense Forces, the enemy missiles failed to reach their targets.
In addition, more than 90 enemy attack drones were detected in Ukrainian airspace, with more than a third of them being jet-powered drones.
As of 16:30, Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or suppressed 81 enemy UAVs.
The Air Force urged citizens not to neglect safety measures, to follow updates from official sources, and to remain in shelters during air raid alerts, especially when there is a threat of ballistic missile attacks.
