Chicago Sky's DiJonai Carrington derailed WNBA All-Star headlines after publicly accusing her ex-girlfriend, Las Vegas Aces forward NaLyssa Smith, of cheating with multiple players around the league.
Some may remember Carrington over previous headlines such as poking Fever superstar Caitlin Clark in the eye, rants against President Donald Trump, or her postgame confrontation with veteran columnist Christine Brennan.
This time, the Chicago Sky guard turned her attention to Smith, her longtime girlfriend since their Baylor days.
Carrington aired the allegations on Threads, posting:
"Since mfs wanna be funny today ima be hilarious! yes, nalyssa cheated on me with Deja Kelly and Aaliyah Nye +++ many more."
The accusations painted a dramatically different picture from the one Carrington and Smith had previously shared publicly.
The pair began dating at Baylor and remained together after reaching the WNBA. They briefly reunited as teammates on the Dallas Wings during the 2025 season before Smith was traded to the Las Vegas Aces.
When they confirmed their breakup later that year, Carrington told fans they had simply "grew in different directions."
Carrington's latest accusations painted a much different picture. Smith, Kelly and Nye have yet to publicly respond.
Carrington is scheduled to face Smith and Kelly on Aug. 1 when the Sky host the Aces, followed by a Sept. 19 matchup against Nye and the Dream.
